Uranium Resources Plc is an AIM listed uranium development company established to acquire and advance a portfolio of assets in Tanzania, building on the current rising demand for uranium. It is the Company's objective to become a significant player in the southern African uranium exploration arena.

To date, Uranium Resources has expanded and developed its portfolio of uranium licences in the highly prospective Karoo Basin in southern Tanzania. Currently it has a land package of circa 14,000 sq km, which it's developing in conjunction with its joint venture partner Western Metals Limited (ASX:WMT), who act as operator to the projects. Recent trench and drilling results have been highly encouraging underlying the prospectivity of the region and indicate the economic potential of the region.

The Company has assembled a core management team with a strong track record in uranium project identification, project development and project financing. The Board believes that by building a significant acreage in Tanzania it will be ideally positioned to take advantage of the uranium potential of the area and in turn build shareholder value.
