Hugh Warner (B Econ) is an executive director of Anglo Pacific Ventures, an Australian principal investor. He has a broad experience as a public company director having been a director of more than 25 publicly listed companies involved in the mining, oil & gas, biotechnology and service industries. He has listed by IPO or re-capitalisation 23 companies on the ASX and listed 6 companies on AIM. These companies have a combined market capitalisation in excess of A$1.6Billion.
Ross Warner (Director)
Ross Warner (LLB, LLM) is an executive director of Anglo Pacific Ventures, an Australian principal investor. Ross is a non-executive director of AIM listed Irvine Energy plc and Equatorial Biofuels plc. He has listed 7 companies on AIM. He trained as a lawyer and worked in the corporate finance departments of law firms including Mallesons Stephen Jaques in Australia and Clifford Chance in the UK.
James Pratt (Director)
James Pratt (BSc (Hons), Grad Dip Fin. Investment) is a geologist with over 20 years experience in the mining and exploration industry in Australia, Africa and Central Asia. He has been a director of a number of listed companies both in the UK and in Australia. Mr Pratt speaks kiswahili and was Chief Mine Geologist for the 2 million ounce Golden Pride mine in the Lake Victoria goldfields of Tanzania between 1998 and 2001. Mr Pratt has been integral in building the Company's presence and portfolio of licences in Tanzania.
Alex Gostevskikh (Managing Director)
Alex Gostevskikh MSc MBA, is a geologist with over 20 years of experience in international mining and exploration for such commodities as gold, silver, and non-ferrous and base metals. He has extensive corporate experience through his involvement with a number of listed companies on the TSX and NYSE markets. He was a Regional Exploration Manager for Centerra Gold Inc (TSX listed), the largest Western gold producer in Central Asia and has held other positions including Exploration Manager for Gulf International Minerals, Senior Geologist for Kinross Gold/Amax Gold, as well as consulting engagements with a number of major and junior mineral exploration companies. His past involvements have helped him build a valuable network of contacts in the mining and related industries across multiple regions of Central Asia and the Middle East.
Andrew Lewis (Non-executive Director)
Andrew Lewis BSc MBA ARSM, has over 25 years of corporate experience having managed mining operations in Western and Eastern Europe and the Former Soviet Union. He is currently the General Director of Nui Phao Mining Joint Venture Co, Ltd, a subsidiary of Dragon Capital, building an open pit tungsten-bismuth-fluorspar-copper-gold mine in northern Vietnam. The mine, once in production in 2010, will become the largest non-Chinese tungsten producer in the world. Previously he was President of Kumtor Operating Company in the Kyrgyz Republic, a subsidiary of Centerra Gold Inc, where he was responsible for corporate management, operations and development. The mine represents the largest foreign investment in the country where it regularly contributed almost 10% of GDP.
Dr Joe Drake-Brockman (Technical Consultant)
Dr Joe Drake-Brockman (PhD) is a geologist with over 25 years experience in uranium exploration in Australia and Tanzania. He has specific knowledge of URA's project area as he participated in the initial exploration of the Mkuju Uranium in Sandstone project conducted by Uranerzbergbau GmbH in the late 1970's. His doctoral thesis was written on the sedimentology and mineralogy of Cu-U and Pb-Z in sandstones.
